DAiLY WiNTER MAKE-UP ROUTiNE

The past few weeks had been actually manic and I was already expecting that due to my impending holiday that I keep on harping about. To my actual surprise, my skin has been really stable and I had waved blemishes goodbye so far. As my skin is quiet alright, I am using lighter bases at the moment as I want to show off my clear skin. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will stay like this. I will be sharing with you the usual make-up items I am slapping in my face this winter. Some items change every now and then but this is the most usual crew.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer (£10)- Since I got this, I have been obsessed with this. This leaves my skin really even and evens out my pores. As I usually leave before 8am and comes home already in the evening, I need a primer that will keep my make-up longer and this primer does that very well. It keeps my make-up on and although it also tries to keep oil at bay, it doesn't make my skin dry. It is, I think, the best drugstore primer there is.

IASO CC UV Total Base (£20)- As I mentioned earlier, my skin has been really calm lately but because of winter it has the tendency to appear sallow which is not a good sight. I find that CC cream does helped in making myself appear even and glowy despite the dreary days. It evens out the skin but it only offers a low coverage so a concealer will be quiet handy. It feels moisturising to the skin which is plus points if you have dry skin. This will also be perfect for summer as it has a high-level of SPF in it.

Tanya Burr Rosy Flush Cheeks Palette (£8)- I really love this palette as aside that it is affordable, I get to use all the products within the palette. The blush in the palette is so pretty and you can get a lot of use from it. The highlighter is also perfect for day use as it is not shimmery but just gives a lovely sheen on the cheeks. The palette also comes with a good size mirror. Overall, it is one impressive palette.

Soap and Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil (£10)- As you can see, I am a fan of Soap and Glory. The Brow Archery from the brand is one product that I didn't get on well at first. After a few times and I finally get the jest of it, I am loving it to bits now. The felt-tip end gives a very natural brows when applied and makes my eyebrows more polished looking.

Kiko Rosy Brown Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Stick (6.90)- I keep on singing praises for the Kiko Long-Lasting Eyeshadow Stich as aside that it has a budget-friendly price tag, its quality is top marks. The eyeshadow glides very well on the eyes. It is very creamy and blends really. The eyeshadows also lasts like forever which is perfect when you are working long hours or when you are out and about for ages.

YSL Babydoll Mascara (£25)- I have been obsessed with this mascara again and rightly so as it is one of the best mascara there is. It separates my lashes and thickens it almost individually giving me volumised lashes. It also lengthens my lashes which I really love. It does help as well that it is packaged a luxurious gold packaging.

Nars Mandore Satin Lip Pencils (£19)- With the Nars lip pencils, I prefer satin over matte ones the matte lip pencils sucks the hydration from my lips. The satin ones however are very forgiving on the lips and the colour lasts ages as well. For A/W, Mandore is my shade of choice. It is a dark berry shade with brownish undertones. It is gorgeous when worn and it fades with a stain. It is one of the best autumnal lipstick shade there is.

Clarins Instant Lip Comfort Oil (£18)- I have been singing praises over and over about this that I may sound like a broken record. I put this on top of any lipsticks that I got as the shade Honey doesn't alter any lipstick shade. It just gives the protection and hydration for my lips during this cold weather. I am really glad that this is no longer limited edition and Clarins decided to make it a permanent product.

So these are my daily Winter Make-up. What are your make-up essentials for this time of the year?

  7. Thanks for sharing your current daily makeup routines with us, Ella! I'm so glad to hear that your skin is clearing up, that's such an awesome feeling! I know the feeling of having stubborn blemishes and acne flareups, it kind of dampens our confidence, so I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling great about your skin! I'll believe with you that it will stay and in fact, get even better! Bye-bye acne :)

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead, beautiful!

  18. I just picked up what feels like my millionth tube of YSL Baby Doll. That and Dior's Iconic Overcurl...obsession doesn't begin to cover it. I really need to get onto Feel Unique and place a Tanya Burr order. I don't know what, but getting online to order drugstore priced makeup seems like so much work to me somehow. And yet, I shop online all the time for luxe beauty and everything else. Kelly 101: I make no sense! <3

  20. Uuffda, you are a lucky girl! This weather change has totally made my skin panic, and I NEVER break out! I've been trying to keep it simple with my makeup lately-- only cover the parts that need covering and focus more on nourishing my skin. (Anything with moisturizing and brightening properties is a must for me right now.) I find that if I go overboard it just makes the icky parts of my skin so much more noticeable.
