KiKO MiDNiGHT SiREN

Kiko-Midnight-Siren

If you have been reading my blog for sometimes now, you will know that I am fast becoming a big fan of Kiko. I still haven't recovered of how beautiful their Rose Golden Collection is and now they released another one. The latest collection of the brand is Midnight Siren. The collection takes inspiration from the mystery and magic of the night thus the collection name. The whole collection promises products that are sultry and iridescent.

Silk Pearl Illuminating Bronzer- I am not really a big fan of bronzer and it is something that I can happily skip. My skintone has a very strong yellow undertones and bronzers can either be too light on my skin or it appears too orangey. Gradient bronzers often works as I can adjust the bronze easily by swirling all colours together or just blending two colours. I am so happy to find out that the Silk Pearl Illuminating Bronzer is a gradient one. It has two different shades of bronzer and an illuminator. I usually swirl my brush around the three shades and dust it lightly to my skin. It gives a subtle bronze on my skin with a hint of highlight that just sits right in my yellow undertones. It warms my complexion really well without getting overboard. It has loads of fallouts but other than that, I really like this bronzer. There are two shades of this bronzer from the range and mine is the lightest one.

Cream Radiance Highlighter- This reminds me of my favourite The Balm Mary Lou Manizer although in a cream formula and this is more on a pearly side. The highlight is very soft and creamy. It blends very easily on the skin and gives a very nice highlight on the skin. It has subdued minuet shimmers on it that gives an almost ethereal glow. Because of the shimmers, I would recommend to use this highlight mainly for night time use. It reflects lights so beautifully even on dim light settings. The highlights last for 6 hours on my skin.

Moon Shadow Water Infused Eyeshadow- I love the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow so I am really excited to try this new formula. It is packaged almost similarly with the aforementioned product. The eyeshadow is water based and what you will notice on application is that it feels very cooling on the eyelids. The product is very smooth and creamy when applied. It also blends very well on the eyelids with no creasing insight as the day goes on. The eyeshadow needs to be blended immediately as it sets in rather quickly. Once it sets in, it lasts for ages as well which is more than 7 hours.

Matte Muse Lipstick- Now this has a funny story as when I first saw the press release, I thought it is a nail polish as it is packaged in a glass bottle. It's wand is also not your usual doe foot applicator but is made with in a different shape that I couldn't explained. However, no matter how sceptical I was with this liquid lipstick, the Matte Muse has blown my low expectations into smithereens. The unique applicator helps in distributing the lipstick evenly to my lips. The shade that I got which is Gaudy Red (a bright red) is very pigmented. Two coats give a very opaque shade. It feels incredibly light on the lips but I feel that it can be drying so a lip balm before application would be handy. It has a matte finish and lasts for six hours before it leaves a stain on the lips.

These are my top choices from the Kiko Midnight Siren Collection. The collection has also other products and at the moment, I am still trialling the Moonlight Oil Serum and will report back a few weeks after. What are your thoughts on this new collection?

  5. The Cream Radiance Highlighter sounds perfect and I love that it lasted on your skin for six hours. I have been using one by Benefit lately, however have found it doesn't last very long - and certainly not six hours! Hope you're well Ella :)
