BEST OF UNDER £10 BLUSHES

I am one big fanatic of blushes but I am no blush snob. I do enjoy a good blush with all the pretty packaging but the drugstore is also laden with loads of beautiful blushes. Some of these affordable blushes even have gorgeous packaging than can rival the luxury brands. I want to give you a rundown of what I think are the best affordable blushes in the market.

Rimmel Santa Rose Blush (3.99)- If you love Benefit Dandelion blush but won't love paying that price, the Rimmel Santa Rose is the perfect alternative for it. The packaging is basic but it is very compact and slim. Santa Rose comes out as soft peachy pink with very fine gold glitters running through it giving it a satiny finish but noting shimmery. It gives a very beautiful flush on the cheeks that looks almost natural.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush (£8.99)- This is another great alternative of the cult favourite Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush but also for a fraction of the price. The blushes has a marble effect to it like the Hourglass ones. I keep on swooning over the blushes as they look so pretty. The blushes are very soft and blend very well on the skin. It also lasts for more than five hours one me. The range has six blush shades to choose from. My personal favourite is Nude Mauve which is a medium dusky rose with mauve undertones.

Topshop Powder Blush (£7)- Topshop blushes has one of the best packaging for its price range. It comes in a matte white packaging with black dots. The monochrome packaging look really chic. My favourite shade from the range is Dream Phone which is a medium rusty rose with very fine gold shimmers that is not really too obvious on the cheeks. The blushes lasts for more than 7 hours. It is also very pigmented and blends really well on the skin.

Kiko Rebel Bouncy Blush (£9.90)- This has one of the prettiest blush packaging there is even with high-end ones. The rose gold packaging is so dreamy and what my dreams are made of. The blush itself is somehow unique as it has a cushion-y and velvety. It has a cream consistency when applied but has a matte finish to it. It blends really well on the skin and lasts for more than six hours.

Make-Up Revolution Golden Sugar Blush Palette (£6)- Probably the best blush palette you can find for under a tenner is the MUR Golden Sugar Blush Palette. The palette has one highlighter, one contour, and six blushes/bronzers making it a very versatile palette. The colour mix is well-thought out and the pigmentation is a big thumbs up. The palette is also very slim with a big mirror inside making it the perfect palette to carry when you are travelling.

These are my top choices for budget blushes. What are your favourite drugstore blushes?

  6. Pretty packaging is a big, beautiful bonus of cosmetics, however like you've said, there are plenty of other options out there that can work just as well minus the 'flamboyant' pretty packaging. I really like the look of Kiko Rebel Bouncy Blush (and its packaging! haha) :)

In all honesty, I don't think I've strayed away from MAC blushes in years. They've never let me down! Although I should probably explore the realm of drugstore blushes -- I'd probably end up saving waaaay more money!
Excellent post :) I love how extensive you are in your reviews.
