MY THOUGHTS ON COVER FX

Cover-Fx-Natural-Finish-Oil-Free-Foundation-Review

I have been pretty curious about Cover Fx for awhile as it constantly appears on Lisa Eldridge's videos. Cover Fx, however, had been pretty elusive in the UK until House of Fraser and Space NK started selling them much to everyone's delight. I love the concept of Cover Fx as it aims to deliver make-up products with skincare benefits. How amazing is that?

Cover Fx CC Cream Time Release Tinted Treatment with SPF 30- I am a fan of CC Cream during spring and summer as I prefer lighter coverage on those time of the year. Although we are already in autumn, I still want to try this CC Cream as in two months time I will be going away for five weeks to somewhere sunny and warm. I thought that this will be perfect as it also has an SPF 30 added to it. The Cover Fx CC Cream comes in a grey tube with a gunmetal cap. I think that the packaging is real handy especially when you are travelling. I try applying this in different methods but I find that applying it with my fingers works best. I know, I hate doing that but that does work best so there you go. When I apply this with a brush, I was blending for ages. I think the natural warmth of the fingers helps melts and blends the CC Cream easily. I was expecting a lighter coverage as it is a CC Cream but this actually offers a medium coverage. As it has a higher coverage, it conceals imperfections and is like perfecting on the skin. It has a demi-matte finish and when blended properly, it looks almost natural. It feels heavy on application but when it sets in, it feels incredibly comfortable. Without primer, this lasted me for more than 7 hours. I have sensitive skin and is very prone to breakouts but I have no problem whatsoever with this CC Cream. I also recommend that if you have dry skin, make sure to moisturise first before using this CC Cream as it is prone to cling to dry areas. Overall, I quiet like this CC Cream and I think this would be good to use during warmer months as it also has SPF 30. I will be quiet hesitant however to use this during cold seasons when you suffer from dry skin. This will be more suited for those with normal/combination skin and great for those with oily skin as this keeps oil at bay as well.

Cover Fx Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation- I am quiet keen to use this foundation just because it is oil free. Due to the sensitive nature of my skin, some foundations can block my pores leading to breakouts. Like the CC Cream, The Natural Finish Foundation is packaged in a tube but in a darker colour. The packaging makes the foundation easy to carry around. The consistency of the foundation remains relatively creamy despite that it is oil free. It is so easy to work with any brushes and blends really well. You don't need much as the foundation is really pigmented. It offers a medium coverage and true to its word, it looks almost natural on the skin. You can easily sheer it out and you can also build it up to a full coverage without looking heavy and cakey on your skin. Cover Fx offers 18 different shades for this foundation which is I think is good shade range. Due to the matte finish, I don't need to apply setting powder on top of it. Without primer, the Cover Fx Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation lasted for more than 8 hours and I am beyond impressed of how long lasting this foundation is. The foundation also feels really light and comfortable on the skin in which I was already expecting as it is oil free. Safe to say, this has become one of my favorite bases of all time.

Between the two, I would highly recommend the Cover Fx Natural Finish Oil Free Foundation as it more easier to work with and will be suitable for most skin types. Have you tried Cove Fx before?

  8. I'm so out of touch when it comes to creams, so CC creams are yet another fresh introduction to me haha - this one sure does sound good though, particularly as it'd suit combination skin :)
