A NEW DRUGSTORE DUO

Soap-And-Glory=One-Heck-Of-A-Blot-Primer-Review

I have never encountered any primer and foundation duo that I love both products whether its drugstore or high end ones. It's always a case of either I love the primer and hates the foundation or the other way around. Recently, one of my favourite brand, Soap and Glory, extended their One Heck of a Blot range and released a new primer and foundation. I was bracing myself for one of the product to be a let down but for the first time, I was blown away by two products in one range that I feel I should share the news.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer- I have been singing praises for awhile now about my favourite Sunday Riley primer which I totally adore. I can't however argue that the said primer comes in a very steep price. When I saw that Soap and Glory released a new primer, I am quiet excited to try it as Soap and Glory has never failed to impress me. The One Heck of a Blot Instant Perfecting Power Primer is aimed to prolong your make-up and controls shine in the face. It also promises to blur pores. The primer comes out as semi-thick gel consistency and quiet silky on the skin. When applied, it dissolves easily in the skin and leaves a demi-matte finish. You cannot immediately see the difference but wait for a minute or two and you can see the primer's magic. It leaves your skin very even and neutralises redness. It also blurs out the pores and just makes your skin a very good blank canvass for the foundation. As some of the pore reducing primers can block pores, these doesn't do like that and is quiet gentle on the skin. My erratic skin had no episodes of breakouts when I started using this primer which makes it on top of my favourite primer list. This also makes your foundation lasts ages and it leaves to its promise that there's no oil insight.

Soap-And-Glory=One-Heck-Of-A-Blot-Foundation-Review

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Liquid-to-Powder Foundation- The only downside of this foundation is that it only has four shades in the range. Luckily for me, the second shade Cool Sand match my skin very well. I have a very generic skintone so I usually match foundations quiet easily. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though that Soap and Glory will add more shades to this foundation. Now the the bad bit is out, let's get down to the real business. When applied, the Liquid-to-Powder Foundation glides on like a dream. It blends easily with a brush and melts into the skin. The foundation offers a medium to full coverage without looking really heavy. It has a matte finish so I don't really powder after using this. The foundation also helps in blurring out pores and yet it doesn't clog at all. It is a really decent drugstore foundation. When used with its primer counterpart, the foundation easily lasts for more than 12 hours keeping oil at bay. The foundation is also packaged with a pump which I really dig. I love my foundations with pump as it is easier to use and no mess in sight. The foundation also is quiet gentle on my skin and although it is silicone based, it doesn't clog my pores. No breakouts in sight as well.

Between the two, I much prefer the Primer as it's one of the best primer I have ever tried but the foundation is also brilliant. Soap and Glory has done it again with these two new products. What are your thoughts on the new Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Primer and Foundation?
