I have been a big fan of Clarins as you may have noticed. The brand, aside from their luxurious packaging, has also good quality products. One of the product from the brand that I totally adore is the Joli Rouge lipstick. For AW 2015, Clarins have reformulated the lipstick and revamp its packaging as well.
The Clarins Joli Rouge* used to be packaged in a silver metallic packaging. The revamp one is now with a light gold packaging making it look so opulent. The edge of the top of the tube is slightly slanted and bore the Clarins logo. The lipstick also comes with a very satisfying click when you close it. I am obsess with a good click in my lipstick in which you may have notice if you are reading my blog for sometime now. When applied, the new Joli Rouge feels very creamy on the lips and glides on like a dream. It feels comfortable and light to the lips and I attribute this to the organic marsh samphire extracts and mango oil that is present in the new Joli Rouge. Marsh samphire extracts helps in protecting the lips moisture barrier and mango oil helps in moisturising the lips. Due to its moisturising properties, this will be my lipstick of choice for the colder months.
With the three Joli Rouge lipsticks that I got, all are well-pigmented and opaque. Maximum of two application of the lipsticks gives you a good coverage. It has a satiny finish to it that I am a fan of. Like any other lipsticks with a luminous finish, The Joli Rouge lasts only for more than four hours although re-application is never a chore as the lipsticks are just a joy to use. The lipstick also has the most amazing wild berries scent that resisting to lick my lips is somehow an almost impossible thing to do.. The new Joli Rouge range has an impressive 25 shades to choose from and retails at £19.50. It has a wide array of nudes, pinks, reds, and plum shades to choose from.

DeleteSoft Plum is such a gorgeous shade! I'd wear that all year round! I've never owned a lippie from them but these are packaged gorgeously (I'm a fan of shiney metal finishes) but these are a bit steep price wise! Ek!
