When I saw the Loreal Glam Matte a few weeks ago, I thought that this is another liquid lipstick and the market is overflowing with it already. However, Loreal claims that Glam Matte both gives a matte and shiny finish. I just couldn't get the idea as matte and shiny are on opposite ends of each spectrum. Obviously, that rouses my curiosity and me being me, I need to pick some up to satisfy my inquisitive mind.
The Loreal Glam Matte has four shades in its range. I picked up Cherry Crop and Coral Denimista. Cherry Crop is bold red shade and Coral Denimista is more of a peach-y, pink-y sweet shade. The packaging is nothing really to be excited about but it is pretty enough. |The packaging make it looks like a lipgloss. It has a heart shape applicator which is really unique and I really love it. The pointed end of the applicator helps to precisely apply the lipstick within your lips and the wide base helps in coating a large area. It is actually a brilliant idea. Now on application, the Glam Mattes are really light to wear and are really opaque as it has a very creamy formulation. It gives a velvet-y finish and stays well on your lips. It stays for more than four hours before its started to fade. It stays a bit lesser when you eat. It doesn't drastically fade so it still leaves a nice tint to the lips. It leaves a smooth finish and doesn't turn patchy. I don't find it drying as well on the lips despite the velvet finish.
Overall, the Loreal Glam Matte doesn't really have a groundbreaking formulation but it is a good liquid lipstick worth buying. The shades, formula, and price are spot-on. Till' next time :)
