JOSiE MARAN COLOR OF SUMMER

 

I am really excited to try Josie Maran products. Most, if not all, of its products have Argan Oil as its main ingredients. The brand tagline is Luxury with a Conscience as its aim is to produce cosmetics without harmful chemicals. The brand also use Fair Trade Argan Oil which helps and empowers Moroccan women. The brand and its ethics greatly amaze me. Whilst browsing Sephora and seeing a wide variety of choices, I decided that I will try the Josie Maran Color of Summer.

The Josie Maran Color of Summer consists of four Argan Lip and Cheek Color Stick. The color sticks are packaged in a rose gold packaging. I am a big fan of rose golds and the packaging looks so opulent. The four sticks now permanently resides on top of my drawers so that I can always see its beauty. It looks like small tubes and you just need to twist to produce the color sticks. I have tried many two-in-one products and most of them are not good to be used as both cheek and lip products. It can either be a good blusher or a good lipwear but not both. The Jose Maran Color of Summer Lip and Cheek Color Sticks, however, are really good as lipwears and blusher. When worn as lipstick, it gives a sheer tint on the lips and it is buildable. It is very light and because of the Argan Oil ingredient, it is very hydrating on the lips. As a blusher, it gives a nice healthy glow on the cheeks. It gives a dewy finish. It also blends easily. The four shades in the set are Beautiful, Pink, Coral, and Twinkle. Beautiful, Pink, and Coral are beautiful blushers and I usually use Twinkle as a highlighter. The color sticks are in travel sizes and very ideal to carry around.
