PRiMER SERiES: SMASHBOX

My most used primer is from the famous Smashbox primer range which is the Color Correcting Primer. Smashbox offers a wide range of primers that suits different skin needs. I chose the color correcting one as I always suffer with some redness or blemishes in my face.

A review on the Color Correcting Primer of Smashbox

The primer comes in an easy-squeeze transluscent tube with a black cap at the end. As it is easy-squeeze, you can basically control the amount of primer according to your needs and wants. You can also determine how much is left with your primer as the packaging is clear which gives you time to re-purchase a new one.

The primer comes as an apricot coloured gel-like texture. Eventhough it is apricot in colour, it becomes translucent when applied. I think the apricot colour helps to even out the skin and hides dark spots. You can even use it on its own if you don't need a high coverage or if you want to go for a more natural look. It is not oil-free so we have to bear that in mind. Despite that it is not oil free, I never had any breakouts because of this primer. On application, the primer glides on very well to your skin and is absorb easily. It feels like silk on your skin. As well like other primers, it helps in prolonging the staying power of my foundations. You can use it with matte or dewy finish foundations.

It is a good value for money considering how well this primer works and it lasts for a long time. Till' next time :)
