By now, you already heard or own one of the many who are obsessed by the Nars Lip Pencil. I, myself, has a bit of obsession of the Nars Satin Pencil. The Nars Lip Pencil has three finishes which are Satin, Velvet, and Matte. As my lips are dry in which I never fail to mention in almost all my blogpost and you might be tired listening to this moaning, the Satin Lip Pencil is my number one choice. My first taste of the lip pencil is Yu and that snowballed my obsession.
The Nars Satin Lip Pencil's formula is actually based from their infamous Velvet Lip Pencil but it has more sheen to the finish. Like all other Nars Lip Pencils, the Satin ones are packaged in a matte black packaging with the bottom one reflecting the colour of the lip pencil. On application, it is just so dreamy. It is so soft and buttery. It actually feels that the lip pencil is melting on your lips. On the lips, it is just so light on the lips and feels hydrating. The finish is with a subtle sheen but nothing glossy.It applies easily and the colour payoff is really opaque. No tugging can be fett during the application. It wears for more than 3 hours before fading like a tint. Like all other lip pencils in the market, it needs sharpening. I use the Urban Decay Grindhouse Double Barrel Sharpener and it works perfectly fine. I think all jumbo-size sharpeners will work fine for the Nars Satin Lip Pencil.

LODHI- This is an orange-y, corally shade with hints of pink. It is described by Nars as vibrant coral. It looks very pretty on the lips.
YU- This a bold Barbie pink shade with blue undertones. It is described as shocking pink and is very opaque.
HYDE PARK- This is a dark berry colour and suits any skintones. Even though it is red, it is very easy to apply and doesn't smudge on my teeth.
MANDORE- This is the latest addition to my collection. It is gorgeous and quiet unique as eventhough it is an oxblood red, it has a brownish undertone. It is more of a brownish red on the lips which makes it different from Hyde Park.
Overall, I think the Nars Satin Lip Pencil deserves a top mark which is unsurprising coming from Nars. Till' next time :)
