BUDGET SKiNCARE WORTH KNOWiNG

Budget-Skincare-Recommendations

I blogged about Starter Budget Skincare before in which I shared all my favourite affordable skincare. Since then, I discovered new ones that are worth adding to our budget skincare repertoire. The drugstore is really upping their game nowadays. It is laden with so many good products that are budget friendly. I actually love that as it means that I can get products without spending a fortune.

First stop is from the brand Quick Fix Facials. The brand has a range of six different masks to combat six different skin problems. As I always aim to have clear skin and bright complexion, I tested out their Purifying Charcoal Mask and Brightening Peel Mask.  The Quick Fix Facials Purifying Charcoal Mask* applies like any charcoal masks but it smells amazing. There's hints of cinnamon in the scent which makes it a joy to apply. This mask gives me a lot of satisfaction as it shows the dirt from your face. It works really well and by using it weekly it does help in clearing those pesky blackheads. After taking it off, you can clearly see that your skin is a lot clearer. It does make your skin a bit dry after use which is common for any charcoal masks so a hydrating mask will be helpful afterwards. The Quick Fix Facial Purifying Charcoal Mask gives more expensive charcoal masks a run for their money. The Quick Fix Facials Brightening Peel Mask* is another wonder product from the brand. I am quite wary to use this at first as I am not really a big fan of peel off masks.  This, however, does wonders to my skin. It is truly brightening and you can feel that your skin is so soft after use. My skin looks more glow-y than usual and brighter during continuous use. Another caution, don't use this two masks together as it may cause some irritation. Space them out for a few days. The best parts for the Quick Fix Facials Masks is that each only costs £4.99 and can sometimes go on the price tag of £3.99 if it is on offer in Boots.

As the two above mentioned facials masks can make your skin quiet dry, I usually follow it up with a hydrating mask. My current favourite is the Bioderma Masque Hydrant*. This facial mask is made to moisturise sensitive and dehydrated skin. The edge of this masks from my other hydrating mask is that it is also soothing on the skin. It is also so easy to apply. Just apply it thickly on the face, leave it for 10-15 minutes, then remove the excess with a cotton pad after the required time. I use this twice weekly as I find that aside from moisturising my skin, it also soothes and calms my skin. The Bioderma Masque Hydrant is easily accessible via Escentual for £14.50. Another hydrating product that has been present in my routine is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Dynamic Hydration Power Serum*. The serum is packaged in a chic blue glass bottle. It just looks so pretty and perfect. It comes out a white liquid and applies like a dream. I like to use it during the day as prepping my skin. I find that it makes my skin plumper and makes make-up application easier. If you are looking for a hydrating serum for day use, this should be top of your list.

So these are my latest finds of skincare from the drugstore. Do you have any other budget skincare recommendations?
