Skincare is one area in which I became very fascinated these days. My skin is a little devil that when I started slacking on my skincare routine, it hits me back with very unpleasant breakouts in the most noticeable places. One department in my skincare routine that I am very at home with is cleansing. There is nothing so satisfying having a clean skin after a full days work. The skincare market is filled with countless cleansers which is quiet baffling. With this post, I'll give a roughdown of my favourite cleansers in various forms and for different skincare needs.
The Affordable One- It is no secret that Soap and Glory makes the most awesome smelling product. The Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk is no exception. It smells sweet yet not sickly sweet but just pleasant to the nose. Even though it is fragranced, I have not yet experienced that it breaks me out. It is so gentle on the skin and removes the make-up very well. Using it after a full days work feels like a treat and it leaves your skin looking bright and clear. The best part about it, it comes in a 200ml bottle for £8. The price is a total winner and it lasts ages.
The Balmy One- The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter is one of my long time favourite and probably the best cleansing balm there is. Aside that it doesn't come with an expensive price tag compared to other cleansing balms in the market, it removes any make-up very well. It feels light on the skin but feels very hydrating. I usually massaged this balm for a good few minutes as it melts into your skin and feels so luxurious without the hefty price tag. It also has a fresh and relaxing a scent. You don't need much as a little does a good job in removing your make-up.
The Facial Oil Cleanse- The Loreal Extraordinary Facial Cleansing Oil is my current favourite facial cleansing oil. It is another budget option and is easily available almost everywhere. It comes in a 150ml bottle with a pump. It easily dissolves any make-up in the face and turns into milky emulsion when massaged on the face. It leaves your skin glowy and well-hydrated. It also has the most lovely subtle scent there is.
The Moisturising One- The Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cleanser is the one for you if you have dehydrated skin. It has a subtle rose scent to it. It comes out as a thick cream and turns into a foamy thick consistency when applied to the skin. You can easily wash it off with water without needing a flannel. It leaves your skin so smooth and supple afterwards. It is also very gentle on the skin.
The Morning Cleanser- If you are like me who always hates to get out of bed in the morning, the Clarins Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser is the one for you. It removes the grimes from the night and leaves your skin really supple. It will make your skin feels like you have gone through a proper cleansing routine without using a lot of products. The lovely peachy scent also makes me awake in the morning when I am laziest. Aside that it is a good morning cleanser, it is also good to use in evenings. It removes make-up very well. What I love most about it is that it is very gentle and leaves my skin so smooth and soft.
The Double Cleanse- I am a big fan of double cleansing. I know double cleansing has a divided opinion but I myself loves it. I however only double cleanse only in the evenings. My second cleanser of choice has been Neal's Yard Remedies Palmarosa Facial Wash. I use it after I use one of the cleansers mentioned above that takes my fancy. It deep cleanses my skin without stripping the oil. It also helps reducing the size of the pores in my nose area. Double cleansing makes me feel like I thoroughly removed any make-up, dirt, and grimes, from my face.
So these are my cleansers of choice. What are your favourite cleansers?
