THE STARTER BUDGET SKiNCARE

Budget-Skincare-review

Skincare, like I mentioned before, is the bane of this blog. I love my skincare but nobody seems to be interested about it based from my past skincare posts. However, I always love a good skincare routine. Today I will share with you a whole skincare routine, from cleansing to moisturising, that is affordable and won't break your bank balance. I think the total amount of all items only comes in an equivalent of one high-end serum. So I think that the whole routine really affordable.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptous Cleansing Butter- This is the loveliest cleanser that I have tried. It is on par with high-end cleansers that I have tested and tried. It smells so soothing and the cleanser is a joy to the skin to use. It removes make-up thoroughly and it melts really well on the skin.

La Roche-Posay Astringent Lotion Micro-Exfoliant- It is a chemical exfoliant that I use as a toner. It is not harsh and just feels refreshing on the skin. It leaves your skin clearer and I think it also helps in keeping breakout at bay.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion- This bad boy is my hero when I had a really bad bouts of breakout. I tried everything at that point but none seems to work until I started using this in conjunction with a mask which will be featured in a separate future post. This clearing lotion mattifies the skin as well. It is also gentle on the skin.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Serum- This post is now looking like a Body Shop advert but really it is not. The Body Shop just have amazing skincare items and it always don't let me down. This moisture serum always resurface during colder months.

Indeed Lab Pepta-Bright- I always harp about hyperpigmentation and this one is my saviour. It also helps in clearing pesky breakout scars. It is a bit steep on the price but it is still on a reasonable price.

A-derma Hydralba Hydrating Cream*- A-derma is a new French brand that is starting to surface in the skincare world. I had an amazing opportunity to sample their products and it is so soothing on the skin. The Hydralba range of the brand is made for sensitive skin. This moisturiser is so light and sinks easily to the skin which makes it perfect top use on the morning rush.

Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask- An old time favourite and a permanent fixture on my skincare routine. It is raved by so many people and rightly so as it is so lovely on the skin especially on Winter. Dry skin? This bad boy will help you sort out that problem.

Budget-Skincare

So this is my starter budget skincare. I always believe that skincare also matters from person to person thus this may work for me and not works for others. If you have any budget skincare that you can recommend, please let me know. Till' next time :)

  3. I love a good skincare routine and to be honest I always prefer high-ends one but nowadays it seems that the prices are getting ridiculous. It is nice to see posts like this.

    1. That's how I really feel when most of the things I used are high-end. The items featured above are really good and it doesn't hurt my pocket so much. Xx

  9. My current skincare is mainly The Body Shop Tea Tree range, which I'm loving. Although the Camomile products also look really tempting! I keep hearing good things about the cleansing oil, but now I also like the sound of the cleansing butter.

Personally I love reading skincare posts, I like to change things up in my routine and discovering new products from other bloggers is a great way to do it. I would rather spend $20+ on a product that I have heard other people talking about instead of $10 for something that I see in store and think "that could work".

    1. The Tea Tree Range is full of very promising products. I prefer the cleansing butter from the oil as my skin tends to dislike oils. Xx

    1. This is the only La Roche Posay that I tried so far. I am somewhat hesitant to try the other products from the range due to the mix reviews. But so far, this one really works for me. Xx
