ONE YEAR BLOG GiVEAWAY

On the 1st of November last year, I put on all my courage and posted my first article on the blog. It seems crazy to think that a year has gone since I made a leap of faith. Big words but that is how I really felt at that time. I have no friends who are bloggers and I don't know anyone in the blogging community. Preparing a post and posting it online is very daunting. I had a lot of what ifs and I was most scared of is what if everyone will just hate what I posted. But starting a blog is by far the best decision I had made in 2013.

When I started blogging, I really don't know a single thing. I haven't even really thought of my blog name. I just come with every little thing and when it's not available, I added 07. I know, how creative of me (not). I sometimes regret it but I really cannot be bothered to change my blog name. It feels like it's my first choice and if I started changing things around, it might feel like it's a different blog. I am a creature of habit so change is something I wouldn't really like to do. After the blog name, I just made an account in blogger and just went from there. I figured it out on my own though it doesn't really need a genius to figure blogger. After my first month in blogging, I decided that I am hopeless at html coding so I need to ask for help from blog layout designers. Peaches and Cream had made a layout for me and I absolutely adore it that until now, I am still happy with the look of my blog. Over the months that went by, I learnt a lot when it comes to photography. I still suck at it but I do feel that somehow my photos have improved by its quality and creativity.

The first few months in blogging is the most difficult for me as I have to find my feet in blogging. It is the time where I had to figure out what I will do with a blog. Quiet honestly, I haven't thought that I will be able to work with amazing brands. It took time before brands started offering to work with me. When I see other bloggers have been asked by brands to work with them, I feel happy for them and I know that my time will come. I have never been an envious person and I think of it as a big advantage for me. I don't do competition with other people as I know it will be unfair for me. I only compete with my own self.

The biggest thing that I amost thankful of is having to know people who shares the same passion with me. It still overwhelms me everytime I remember how welcoming the blogging community when I started. Of course the community had a few trying times the past few months but it is still a great community. That is how a community works, we tend to argue but we always strive to be better.

I think this is the longest post I have ever written in my blog. I am sorry for the long waffle. I just really want to thank you for taking time to read my blog. It really means a lot that someone out there appreciates what I am creating. Till' next time :)
